Important Note for Partner ID Users Updating to TouchCast Studio v1.19.1

Please be advised that as TouchCast tightens security around all TouchCast products and services that there will be the occasional update that requires extra communication to prevent confusion.

With the August 2017 update of TouchCast Studio (v1.19.1), Partner ID users will notice forced login as soon as you open the application. With this update TouchCast provides better security and privacy with shared devices.

After updating the Studio app, all NEW Projects will be sandboxed – meaning only the user who created the Project will be able to see and access these files. Sandboxing will not apply to existing Projects.

To summarize:

  • If you use a non-shared iPad: you do not need to perform any actions. You will not notice any changes after the update to your data.
  • If you share an iPad: all NEW projects you create will only be accessible by your account. Existing Projects will remain accessible across accounts using this iPad.

It's always a safe practice to upload critical Projects to prevent data loss. When you upload a Project, it remains private until you share the Project Code. You can also encrypt and password-protect an uploaded Project.
