IMPORTANT NOTICE: Enterprise Version of Migration information to Fabric Portal

On July 5th, 2018, TouchCast Studio was updated in the Apple App Store. We are calling this updated version Studio 2.0.

If your iPad is set to auto update apps, this will happen in the background. If not, please go to the Apple App Store, tap Updates, locate TC Studio and tap update. Please note the icon has now changed.
It looks like this:
If for any reason you wish to delay the update of TouchCast Studio for a day or so, please ensure that auto updates is disabled in your iPad settings and don't manually update at this time.
This update connects the Studio application with our new TouchCast Fabric Portal, which provides hosting, video management, analytics, security and administration settings for managing and sharing your touchcasts.
This is a significant update as it gives you a much more user-friendly way to manage your content and many more options about the way in which you share it. For example, you will now be able to share a touchcast to named individuals.
In order to start managing your Touchasts via the Fabric Portal and take advantages of these new features, you will need to re-authenticate within Studio 2.0.
Attached at the bottom of this article is a guide that outlines this process, as well as details of the key features of the Fabric Portal. However, as we know how busy you are, we have summarized the steps you need to take to continue enjoying TouchCast Studio – and have more control over how you share the content you create.
1. Update the TC Studio app from the App Store.
2. Open the app and sign in with your email.
3. You will be asked to update your security details – please follow the steps on screen.
4. When you submit TouchCast will send you a validation code to the email address used. Please note, there is a risk due to your internal protocols that the email with this validation code may be quarantined or placed in Spam. If it doesn’t arrive in your inbox, please contact us through support.touchcast.com.
5. Enter the validation code into the awaiting field and activate your account.
6. Now you are in the app, you can carry on creating touchcasts in the normal way. If for any reason you cannot see your existing Projects please immediately contact support.touchcast.com.
7. DO NOT DELETE THE APP. The reason your existing Projects may be hidden is that some TouchCast Studio users share an iPad and sign in and sign out of their account in order for a colleague to access their content on the same iPad. As a result, if you share an iPad, the last person to have signed into the application may be a colleague.
8. When you next create a touchcast, the sharing process will have been enhanced. When you export your touchcast you will have the option to save to the Fabric Portal, where you will be able to manage how you share your content and set privacy settings.
9. When you have uploaded your touchcast to the Fabric Portal, you will need to sign in to your portal to see and manage your files. From a modern browser on the iPad or desktop, type the following URL for your portal: me.touchcast.com
10. Sign in with the same username and password credentials you will have used within the TC Studio app.
11. Click the launch button to launch the Fabric Portal. Now bookmark your portal URL.
12. Click on My Files, top left, to see your uploaded touchcasts.

Please do NOT delete the app, deleting the app will remove all local projects that you have in progress.
