IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Educators version of Fabric Portal Migration for Studio 2.0

We have BIG NEWS! TouchCast Studio 2.0 is available in the App Store for your iPad! We’re also launching TouchCast Fabric, our new cloud storage system and we are introducing several paid subscription options. The app and our new cloud storage system will continue to be free for K-12 educators and students over the age of 13.


TouchCast Fabric includes the Fabric Portal and Fabric Analytics. Fabric Portal is where customers manage their videos. Customers who chose the Business and Enterprise versions of our applications can take advantage of advanced privacy controls, admin controls for organizations, video channel curation, and the ability to collaborate with others in your Fabric Portal. Fabric Analytics offer Business and Enterprise customers advanced understanding of how your content is consumed.


What’s new or different?

  • We’re introducing several paid options ranging from Individual to Enterprise so that everyone can find the perfectly-sized subscription to meet their needs. More information is at touchcast.com/pricing.
  • TouchCast Fabric: a much more user-friendly way to manage your content with many more options for sharing it.
  • Want to collaborate with other users in your organization?  Start a free trial to experience the features of TouchCast Fabric Portal & Analytics.
  • In keeping with our long-standing Social Mission in Education, if you’re an K-12 public school educator, you are welcome to stay with the free version of Studio and complimentary hosting on Fabric. Your videos will now upload to me.touchcast.com, which continues to offer privacy controls for your videos. When you log into TouchCast Studio 2.0 for the first time, you will be asked to identify yourself as a public school teacher or eligible student and sign up for the free Educator’s plan.


Some FAQ’s on Studio v2.0 and user migration to our new cloud storage options:

  1. Do I need to take any actions to migrate to TouchCast Fabric or me.touchcast.com?
  1. After you update the Studio app to v2.0, you will be on-boarded after you launch the app for the first time. You will be asked to enter a new password and security question. Then you will be asked to chose whether you want to subscribe to the free Education plan or start a free trial. You can then visit our website to upgrade to a Business or Enterprise plan.
  1. Will my old video links work?

YES.

  1. Can I transfer an old video to Fabric Portal or me.touchcast.com?

YES. (here’s how)

  1. Can I still fetch Projects using an old code?

YES.

For K-12 public school educators, the free alternative to the paid TouchCast Portal is me.touchcast.com, which also runs on our new Fabric cloud storage system. We provide me.touchcast.com to K-12 public school educators and students over the age of 13 at no cost. Here you can privately upload, store, and share your touchcast videos (.tct) and Projects (.tcp)... or any file actually.
