TouchCast Pitch MacOS : File Menu Options

File Menu Options

The File options are available after a project file is open and are used to create, retrieve, and save Pitch presentation project files.

The File options are:

  • New
  • Open
  • Close
  • Save
  • Save As

New

The File → New action is used to create a new Pitch presentation project.  The File → New action does not create Scenes within the presentation.  This is done using the ‘New Scene’ options (explained in section 4.5).

If a new project is about to be created and a project is already open (and has changes which have not been saved), Pitch will notify you and providing the option to save the previous project file.

Open

The File → Open option is used to select an existing Pitch project (.tcp file) located on the device or network drive and resume developing it.

Save

The File → Save option is used to save an open (and updated) Pitch presentation (.tcp file) which had previously been saved on the device or network drive using the same location and filename.   The presentation remains open after the Save operation is completed for additional development.

Save As

The Save As option is used to initially save a new Pitch project file or to save an existing Pitch project using a different file name or location.  New project files are saved as .tcp (a TouchCast format which contains interactive features). The presentation remains open after the Save As operation has completed for additional development.  Note that you will need to save the touchcast each time a change is made.
