On Windows machines, users will need to disable "Allow hardware acceleration of audio with this device".
To achieve this navigate to Settings > Sound > Sound Control Panel > Headphones (double click) > Advanced > Hardware Acceleration
Then "Allow hardware acceleration of audio with this device."
