Showtime v4.2 - Public Release Notes

Release date: August 8, 2023

Courses and lessons

A number of improvements have been made to the Courses and Lessons section:

  • Applied the following naming convention for the custom access groups used to control custom access to Courses and lessons: Course Groups.

  • Added option to add attachments/handouts to Lessons.

  • Added "Use presenter images on the lesson card" option (checkbox) to Lesson edit. If selected, the lesson card will display presenter images. Default state: unselected.

  • Added option to customize the navigation menu label “Courses“ - can be done under Common Labels settings

Resources

Added option to hide resources from the page individually or all at once.

To hide all of the resources from the page, go to General Settings → General → Hide Resources.

If you want to hide only individual resources, uncheck the option above (if checked), go to Resources → Content → check the box to hide every individual piece of content and save.

Filters for content

Added option to assign content of the Showtime page filter tags. These filter tags can be used by end users to filter out the page content.

For this to work, under General Settings use the Enable content filters option.

Now go to Content Management → Content Filters (new section) and set up filter tags you will use to tag content (All of these filter tags will appear on the page as filtering options for end users).

Now tag relevant content (agenda sessions, resources, lessons) with these filter tags:

When end users open the event page, they will be able to filter content based on how it was tagged:

Filters are not a replacement for custom access groups, it’s a tool to help users find the content that fits their needs from all of the available materials published to the page.
