Signing in
After signing in with your Touchcast account, open “Touchcast Director” menu > “Preferences…”.
On the “General“ tab, check your Zoom account:
If you aren’t signed in to Zoom yet click “Sign In“, you will be redirected to your default browser for signing in:
After signing in to Zoom in your browser, click “Allow“
You will be redirected back to Touchcast Director by a popup window.
After connecting your Zoom account, you’ll be able to initiate Zoom meetings in Touchcast Director and more.
Touchcast Director only stores your Zoom information locally, it’s not uploaded to any online storage and is not linked to Touchcast Account.
Note: being not signed in to Zoom yet and trying to start new Zoom meeting in Touchcast Director, you’ll be asked to sign in to Zoom.
Selecting your camera and microphone
Open “Touchcast Director” menu > “Preferences…” and on “AV“ tab check camera and microphone. These devices will be used for Zoom calls, for local recordings and for streaming your presentations.
Note: when participating as a speaker on a Zoom call, you’ll see these devices in tooltips for camera & mic
Adding placeholders for cameras of Zoom speakers
In Prepare mode, when staying on any scene of your project, click “Speaker“ button on toolbar and then click “Placeholder for Camera“:
Arrange the appeared placeholder as you want:
Note: if you need to show Zoom speakers in several placeholders simultaneously, you can bind them using context menu

In Prepare mode, when staying on any scene of your project, click “Speaker“ button on toolbar and then click “Placeholder for Shared Screen“:
Arrange the appeared placeholder as you want:
Starting new Zoom meeting
In Show mode click “Zoom“ button on toolbar and then click “Start New Meeting“:
You can choose to participate in the event or recording as a speaker, in this case other participants of the call, viewers of the stream or the local recording will be able to see and hear you. Otherwise you can conduct events as a director, without being heard or seen by the audience.
Joining the Zoom meeting
In Show mode click “Zoom“ button on toolbar and then click “Join a Meeting“:
You can choose to participate in the event or recording as a speaker, in this case other participants of the call, viewers of the stream or the local recording will be able to see and hear you. Otherwise you can conduct events as a director, without being heard or seen by the audience.
Chatting with other Zoom participants
During a Zoom call open a “Chat“ window (View > Chat, or click “Chat“ button on toolbar) to chat with other Zoom participants as usually:
Participating as a speaker
Default options for your participation as a speaker are on “Shows“ tab of the Director’s preferences (Touchcast Director > Preferences…):
When participating as a speaker you can switch on/off your camera or mic (using “Mic“ and “Camera“ buttons on toolbar), and also share screen (using “Screen“ button on toolbar):
You can stop participation anytime during a Zoom call, and also copy a link to invite others to the meeting (in Speakers Monitor):
Entering Zoom breakout rooms
Touchcast Director can be moved by host to the Zoom breakout room as any other participant:
Leaving Zoom meeting
During a Zoom call you can leave it anytime:
by clicking “Zoom“ button on toolbar
by leaving Show mode
by closing your project
Signing out from Zoom
When signed in with your Touchcast account, open “General“ tab of “Preferences“ window (Touchcast Director > Preferences…) and click “Sign Out“ near your Zoom account.
Removing Touchcast Director from Added Apps in Zoom Account
When signed in in a browser with your Zoom account, open App Marketplace and click “Remove“ near the app:
When you do the steps above your user information is deleted from local Touchcast Director’s storage and you will have to sign in with your Zoom account again to access Zoom-related features.
